The winter can also be enjoyable in Maryland, although it is probably the least popular time to visit to state. There are some skiing opportunities in Maryland, as well as in the southern part of Pennsylvania. Of course, you are kind of hit and miss when it comes to finding the snow on the ground, so it is important to have an alternate plan, just in case you arrive at the wrong time.

Finally, you can visit Maryland in the spring and this is certainly a time of year that is beautiful, to say the least. The dogwood trees are blooming and if you hit it at the right time, you may even make the trip to Washington DC to see the cherry blossoms in Bloom as well.
